Aire Training delivers both half and full day courses for a wide range of professionals working in the water and utilities industries. Our background combines over 30 years of industry experience in water quality and water hygiene, with over a decade in international academic research. Our training delivery is informed by direct experience and broad knowledge of the themes that we cover in our courses. Ioan and Oswyn provide informative and engaging courses to individuals at any level and from any background.
OUR TEAM

Dr Ioan Charnley-Parry
PARTNER AND TRAINER
Ioan has a background in both the UK Water industry, working for Yorkshire Water, and in academic research. He has been an EUSR Approved Trainer for over ten years.
His time in Yorkshire Water included roles in the Water Quality and Water Resources departments, followed by the completion of a Masters Degree in Environmental Sustainability and a PhD in Energy and Social Science. In his role as a Research Associate, he successfully published several peer-reviewed journal papers, co-edited an international book publication and co-authored chapters in several others.
Ioan has been delivering National Water Hygiene Scheme training across the UK to a variety of clients and operatives for more than a decade. He also delivers the EUSR Safety, Health and Environmental Awareness (SHEA Water) Scheme and the new Products for Drinking Water Scheme.

Mr Oswyn Parry
PARTNER AND TRAINER
Oswyn has almost 30 years experience in the water industry as a microbiologist, Water Quality Scientist and Public Health Scientist for Yorkshire Water.
He was on the original workgroup for the Energy & Utility Skills National Water Hygiene scheme which was launched in 2006. Oswyn set up an independent training business in 2008, and has been delivering the National Water Hygiene Scheme and Safety, Health and Environmental Awareness (SHEA Water) Scheme across the UK for over 15 years.
In recent years Oswyn and a fellow engineering colleague developed a Healthcare Water Hygiene training for operatives working in UK hospitals, a course that continues to be delivered nationwide. This training is founded on the requirements laid out in the Department of Health publication, ‘Health Technical Memorandum 04-01: Safe Water in healthcare premises’ which was published in 2016.
